Dear everyone,

 

We are pleased to announce that the International Association for Political Science Students is going to Madrid, Spain for the 2019 World Congress. The event will be organized in partnership with the Common Action Forum (CAF), an organization that strives to create links between governments and the civil society around the world, as well as with the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), one of the most prestigious universities in the Spanish-Speaking world.

 

Our theme will be Overcoming Injustice, and we are currently looking for coordinators. We would like to invite you to have a look at the calls for applications and apply if you’re interested!

 

Deputy Head of the World Congress

The Deputy Head of the World Congress is responsible for assisting the Head of the World Congress on all logistical matters, including overseeing the venue’s management, drafting and implementing the program, supervising the team of volunteers working on the conference, arranging all other logistical aspects (accommodation, catering, lunches, printing, etc.)

World Congress Administration Coordinator

The World Congress Administration Coordinator is in charge of sending invitations, creating and sending newsletters, monitoring registration and payments, communication with potential participants, drafting visa invitation letters for participants who require them, etc.

World Congress Sponsorship and Media Coordinator

The Sponsorship and Media Coordinator is in charge of the social media marketing of the World Congress and of the increase of its financial capabilities by securing either sponsorships or services. They will work closely with the International Cooperation and Public Relations (ICPR) Department

The World Congress Program Coordinator, Speakers, i.e. the Speakers Coordinator, is responsible for the conceptualization, drafting, planning, and execution of the speakers' program of the World Congress.

World Congress Program Coordinator, Panels

The World Congress Program Coordinator, Panels, i.e. the Panels Coordinator is in charge of the administration of the student panels. Their tasks include creating and managing submission platforms, as well as reviewing submitted applications and abstracts, drafting letters of acceptance, etc. They will work closely with the IAPSS Academic Committee.
